The 3M Speedglas SG-50W sound attenuated breathing tube is required for use with the 3M Adflo powered air purifying respirator with the high efficiency filter and organic vapour/acid gas cartridge, as well as the 3M Speedglas 9100-Air, 9100MP, and M-series welders' masks. The hose is required to be used at all times with the M-405 and M-407 respirator helmet assemblies, as well as with the 3M Adflo powered air purifying respirator regardless of the filter selected. The 3M SG-50W Speedglas hose is not NIOSH approved for use with the V-Series supply air valves.
